Mold Repair MI Open (J#25735)
Education: High School
Experience: 4 - 9 years

SUMMARY:
To maintain high quality tooling through preventative maintenance, minor repair, and visual evaluation.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
XMust be a team player and educate and share ideals when needed.
XRead and understand tooling work orders and follow instructions.
XResponsible for the correct disassembly and assembly molds in a safe and timely manner.
XAble to clean molds and assist Maintenance Technicians when needed.
XWork to a schedule and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
XMaintain a clean and well-organized work area.
XUtilize measuring equipment that include micrometers, calipers, height gage, bore micrometers, etc.
XAssist in the monitoring process to help keep a reasonable component inventory in stock.
XReduce machine downtime.
XMaintain all tools and equipment that are used including the daily cleaning of tool room machinery.
XAssist in maintaining maintenance records on the company computer system.
XWork with little or no supervision when given clear direction.
XWork with Process Engineers to trouble shoot issues with tool or improve on.
XBe able to work on the production floor with tool in press to correct any issue to keep down time at a minimum.
XAble to operate a Surface grinder with in a + or - .0002 on critical details.
XAble to operate a Bridgeport/Lathe with in a + or - .001 tolerance.
XAble to run a EDM machine.
XKnowledge of Manifold systems Example: Mold Master, Senventive, Osco and etc.
XAble to polish and bench details.
XAbility to fit new detail and spot in.
XAbility to trouble shoot issues and repair.
XKnowledge of hydraulic systems.
XOther duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
XHigh school diploma or equivalent.
X5 to 8 years of hands on experience in a tool room involving plastic injection mold repair or mold maintenance.
X3 to 5 years of experience using hand operated tool room equipment.
XKnowledge and understanding of mold and die components and their respective characteristics.
XAbility to read and understand tooling work orders.
XGood verbal and written communication skills.
XBasic computer skills.

NON-REQUIRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
XPrototype tool making experience.
XPlastic injection processing experience.
XTrade school or some college.
