Experience: 4 - 9 years

Tier 1 award winning automotive plastic injection molder with a global customer base is seeking a hands on Tool Maker with good analytical skills and a plastics background. Specific job duties include:
Responsible for repairs and preventative maintenance of small to midsized Plastic Injection Molding Tools.
Communicate, oversee, and ensure that mold repairs and PM are done accurately, successfully, and on time.
Perform repairs and regularly scheduled maintenance on tools.
Order material & Outsourced Services (steel, pins, outside work, etc) for use in the Tool Room projects.
Consults with the Tool Room Manager, Engineering and Manufacturing to maintain and perform modification of molds in order to repair and solve production quality concerns.
Responsible to maintain compliance with organizational policies.
Performs other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
Skilled at multitasking
Familiar with dimensional measurements/Tolerances
Strong Working knowledge of Tool Room equipment and Mold building
Experience with problem solving of molding issues
Understands manufacturing processes within an Injection molding environment.

The selected candidate for this position will have a strong toolmaker background and with experience using EDM, mills, grinders and making own electrodes. Knowledge of how a tool room interacts with a world class injection molding facility.
