Job Title:Automation Technician Level
Department:Maintenance/Facility
Reports to:Automation Supervisor

Main Purpose
Preventive maintenance and repair on all robotics and automation equipment.
Programming part removal sequences on robotics

Essential Job Function
Perform preventive maintenance on robotics and automation equipment
Troubleshoot and repair robotics and automation equipment
Program part removal sequences on robots
Interface various devices / conveyors / vision system with the robot
Installation of new automation systems
Automation validation to cGMP standards
Maintain all required documentation and records
Nypro Inc. EHS policy (AV-SFT-2009-0018)
Comply with Nypro Standard Operating Procedures and Industry Standards
Perform other non-essential duties as assigned

Experience, Education & Training
Must be able to read, write & comprehend English.
High School Diploma & 5 years applicable industrial experience.
Basic computer skills
Read and interpret equipment mechanical, electrical & pneumatic drawings.
Comprehensive knowledge of PLCs / PLC programming ability
Must have the knowledge & the ability to use relevant hand tools in the repair of mechanical equipment.
Completion of required Paulson, cGMP and job related training

Physical Requirements
Fast pace environment that requires standing, lifting (50 lbs.), pulling & bending during a 12 hour shift. The ability to work overtime as required, often without notice.

Authority
All personnel are responsible in proactive participation in the efforts to prevent, detect, report, correct or cause to be corrected the production of nonconforming parts or materials. This includes reporting nonconformities to Supervisors or Quality representatives.
