| Machinist WA Open (J#23708) Experience: 1 - 3 years The Opportunity: Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative and detailed individual for our Machinist Position. If you are looking for an opportunity to work in modern prototype machine shop, working on R&D projects and custom tooling, utilizing the latest in equipment and software, then this position is for you! Machinist Responsibilities: Operate lathe, milling machine, grinders, welders, press brake, shear, punch and hand tools for the fabrication of tools, jigs, fixtures and repair parts to support manufacturing and engineering needs. Develop schedule for and perform preventive maintenance on shop equipment. Track shop cutting tool usage and sharpen or replace cutting tools. Adhere to all shop safety procedures. Follow and improve shop processes. Qualifications: 2 year trade school and 2 years machinist experience Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment Background check results satisfactory to SEL Negative drug test result(s) Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years experience with MasterCAM X1 or above Experience with sheet metal fabrication 2+ years welding experience An Award Winning Company Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc.
