Business Devel/Sales Manager MI 90 - 100k (J#12700)

Serving both domestic and foreign automotive OEMs, the companys broad base of customers has produced significant sales growth over the last several years despite recent industry trends. The firm seeks to continue that growth and has created a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced automotive plastics industry Business Development Manager / Sales Manager in Detroit. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for directing sales of custom molding services to automotive OEMs. Responsibilities include directing several experienced Account Managers, working with Program Managers to develop new products, and identifying profitable new customers. Other duties include:
Analyze market information concerning customer needs, competitor activity, and technology advancements that influence short and long term Business Plan and Strategy development.
Manage Account Managers.
Directly manages Major Accounts and takes lead role in ensuring that all customer needs for product, pricing, quality and delivery are fully met.
Makes periodic reports to Senior Management including Annual Sales Forecasts, Monthly Sales Reports, and Long Range Strategic Plans.

Requirements:
BS in Engineering, Business or Technology
A minimum of 7 to 10 years Tier 1/Tier 2 Supplier Sales Experience.
At Least 2 and preferably 3 to 5 years experience in Sales or Major Account Management role.
Specific experience in sales of high-volume, precision molded PLASTIC parts to automotive OEM,s. (Fasteners, Air Duct, Registers, Door Handles, Interior Trim, etc)
Assertive, High Energy, Sales Skills.
