The operation was founded in 1978 and is a joint venture, with 50/50 ownership between Valeo and OSRAM Sylvania. Our headquarters including manufacturing and R&D are located in Seymour, IN allowing us to be close to our customers - Ford, General Motors, DaimlerChrysler, Volkswagen and Japanese transplants." Valeo Sylvania also operates a manufacturing facility in Queretaro, Mexico and a sales office in Dearborn, Michigan. The Company employs more than 700 people, and we are looking for talented individuals to join our team!
Summary / Responsibilities - Design Leader Engineer :

Job Responsibilities:

- Lead the product design. - Define the mechanical design of our product line that meets our Customer s requirements, including legal constraints and Valeo Sylvania requirements (design guide lines, design for manufacturing and for assembly). - Identify and estimate the cost of the actions needed to realize this mechanical design on time. - Coordinate direct and overseas CAD design supports to realize previously identified actions. - Deliver Mechanical Design Justification Evidences concerning packaging feasibility, design guide line application level, part design, part to part clearance, datum s position, part tolerancing, SPPC identification, P-Drawings. - Control all math models from and to OEM customers. - Maintain and improve CAD skills (Catia V5, NX, multiple mPLM s). - Participate in Customer meetings held mainly in Detroit, MI or in Queretaro, Mexico.

Requirements Design Leader Engineer
Requirements - Design Leader Engineer:

- 7 years CAD Experience. - 7 years automotive lighting design experience. - 7 years injection molded plastic component design experience. - BSME required.
