Company information:
Our client is a privately held OEM located about 60 miles south of Wichita, KS. They offer value-added manufacturing services to their blowmolded plastics customers around the country. They are upgrading their processing talent as they prepare for their busy season going into 2009. They have 19 machines (24 heads) ranging from 15-75 pounds, primarily Sterlings. They run a 24x7 operation, currently have an 8-hour shift, but may change to 12-hour shifts in the future. They run a lot of HDPE resin, but are moving into engineered resins.

Description:
- Machine up-time, decreasing time needed to process the first part, and reduction of scrap are metrics our client tracks each day. Blow Molding Process Technicians who can deliver on these variables will be eligible for increasing compensation in the future.
- Troubleshoot and optimize equipment for maximum cycle time efficiency.
- Keeps work areas clean of oil, rags, cans and water and remove all purged plastic.
- Accurately document machine process settings and processes changes with required forms.
- Assist with quality checks during shift and ensure material for production is at the machine.

Requirements:
- Able to process blow molding machines, setup auxiliary and secondary equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing blueprints.
- Self-motivated and have the ability to motivate those around you through action and behavior.
- Knowledge of injection molding machines, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical codes and equipment
Minimum of 5 years experience with processing and maintaining plastic blow molding presses (not considering injection molding technicians at this time).
- Background with engineering grade resins a big plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of products and quality specifications, including short runs and multiple color changes.
- Experience in non-temperature controlled facilities is a plus.

Compensation: $16-$24/hr
