Primary Function Perform all tasks necessary to produce and verify the attributes of bottles. Setup, operate, adjust and maintain bottle blowing machines, packing equipment and other related equipment to produce in specification bottles to meet customer's quality and quantity demands. Duties 1. Set up and make changeovers (if necessary) of equipment and molds to meet the customer's needs. 2. Operate and adjust equipment to produce in-spec bottles in order to meet speed and quantity demands.. 3. Perform all maintenance on any equipment needed for bottle production, product quality, packing, and / or shipping - including troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems and coming up with solutions. 4 . Verify bottle attributes and make necessary process changes. Perform all bottle quality measurements using test equipment in the lab and on the production floor. Perform daily QA tests like drop test, verifying leak detectors, vision systems, bottle thickness, weights, high mills, etc. 5. Communicate with fellow team members to coordinate production, repairs, changeovers, etc. 6. Communicate with customer to coordinate shipping requirements. 7. Move production material, molds, equipment, finished product, etc. with a fork truck. Keep a constant flow of raw material to equipment. 8. Monitor condition of plant equipment and make process adjustments or repairs on all of these machines 9. Use PCs to enter production reports and process measurements. , Track bottle quality data and scheduling information. Learn to operate and reconfigure computer based vision systems if necessary. Order material and email with PCs 10. Attend and pass training sessions as required, 11. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and common areas like cafeteria and bathrooms,, 12. Perform regularly scheduled PMs including; refilling lubricants, cleaning, making repairs 13. Perform all work safely 13. Other duties as assigned High school diploma or equivalent. 2 years minimum manufacturing experience on plastic blow molding machines; experience on Uniloy machines are a definite plus. Ability to diagnose and correct minor problems and maintain production standards, in addition to the highest quality standards in the business are required.
