Responsibilities include making 3D designs and 2D layouts; calculating and controlling component parts, and managing surface development in the Under Body Design Group (Hood, Fender, Floors, and Structure). Candidate will also be responsible for working within a fixed schedule and managing their own as well as other's schedules, verifying drawings and working on product quality projects. Additional responsibilities will include managing developments, suppliers and manufacturing.

BSME and a minimum of 6 years experience or equivalent combination of education and Catia V5 experience. Background should include engineering layout, drafting, CATIA, vendor support/negotiation and manufacturing support. Proficient PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other technical software) and excellent communication/interpersonal skills required. Ability to travel and work overtime may be required.

Automotive Upper Body Design Engineer:

Responsibilities include making 3D designs and 2D layouts; calculating and controlling component parts, and managing surface development in the Upper Body Design Group (Sheet Metal Parts, Cabin, Trunk).
