| Automation Technician CA 35 - 45k (J#14148) Education: High School Experience: 1 - 3 years SUMMARY Is responsible for maintaining set-ups of automation, testers on industrial machinery and injection molding machines. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Teach points on Denso Robots. * Sets up Injection Mold, Tox Press Dies, automation, cameras, testers and all required auxiliary equipment in manufacturing cells so that presses are ready for production. * Troubleshoot and correcting equipment problems, preventative maintenance, and daily interaction with Manufacturing Supervisors and Engineers to improve line efficiency. * Remove Injection Mold, Dies, EOAT and auxiliary (automation, testers & Cameras) equipment from press at the end of job or as required. * Operates under detailed instructions and specifications but the position requires considerable ingenuity to improvise and adapt when necessary. * May instruct trainees who will operate automation, cameras and testers after set-up. * Works closely with shift Group Lead and is capable of assuming temporary supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the foreman. * Diagnoses and corrects problems in set-up and operation of automation, and other equipment. Serves as a member of the CAT. * May perform routine maintenance, including Injection Molding Machine, automation, etc. * Performs tool conversions as necessary. * Clean up all materials from floor and machine when complete. * Assists Line Lead to perform raw materials and finished good reconciliations. * Maintains automated equipment including but not limited to machine vision systems, robotics and testers. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidate must be mechanically adept, have excellent problem solving skills, and computer competency including knowledge of Microsoft software applications. QUALIFICATIONS: * Knowledge and experience working on PLC controlled automated systems a plus. * Knowledge of pneumatics, electrical, and mechanical operations with ability to read schematics and diagrams. * Hands-on problem solving skills. * Good verbal, written, and computer skills - familiarity with IQMS helpful, but not required. * Must be able to work cooperatively with employees at all levels. | |||
