| APQP Engineer MN Open (J#9964) Education: Bachelors Degree Experience: 4 - 9 years If you are a Quality Engineer who has experience dealing with customers in the automotive industry, were searching for you! Thermotech Company, one of the premier custom molders of close tolerance, engineered resins, has an opportunity for an Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) Engineer. Our automotive customers make up the largest percentage of our business, so we feel it is important to provide them with great service and quality. In the APQP Engineer role, you would take part in advanced quality planning activities for our automotive customers. This would include working with internal and external customers to clarify requirements/expectations, as well as securing project and program approvals and Engineering changes. Mentoring personnel in the use of advanced statistics, customer requirements and advanced quality systems, plus identifying and removing waste to reduce the total cost of quality are also important parts of this job. You would drive our quality systems, monitoring them for effectiveness in new mold qualification, product manufacturing, purchased material production and final product packaging and shipment to customer. Utilizing your auditing skills and survey methods, you would assess the effectiveness of our companys and our suppliers quality systems, while being offered the opportunity to participate in offering ideas for improvement. The successful APQP Engineer candidate must have demonstrated experience in an automotive or related industry, knowledge of TS-16949 and APQP, metrology, statistics and overall quality methodologies. Excellent customer relations and negotiating skills are a necessity in this critical role. Other requirements also include a BA degree or 4 years technical training; program management; GD&T; DOE; complex blueprint reading and interpretation.
