Aeronautical Engineer Sr Professional Missile Modeling Engineer responsible for the development and delivery of high fidelity threat modeling products in support of the Missile Defense Agency - to support the Threat Modeling Center on the JRDC Program at Schriever AFB, CO. (Position 629) Essential Job Functions - Designing, developing, maintaining, modifying, and testing ballistic missile models for integrating ballistic missile and aircraft systems into high resolution simulation media in support of Ballistic Missile Defense System events. - Assists in the development of aeronautical/astronautical systems designs for current and conceptualized hardware, components and systems. Prepares plans and drawings using design software. - Performs various analyses, as directed by senior personnel, including flight dynamics, thermal, structural, guidance and control, stability, etc. to assist in the identification of correct configuration, integrity and feasibility of design(s). May lead a small analysis and/or design team. - Assists in the creation of working subsystem prototype(s) at the brass board level for proof of concept or customer demonstration. Prepares technical documentation. Verifies that prototype(s) meet design criteria or subsystem specifications. - Assists in the review of vendor/contractor capability to bring product design from engineering prototype phase to production release.
