| 2nd Shift Molding Machine Oper MO Open (J#12636) Education: High School Experience: 4 - 9 years SUMMARY: Second Shift Molding Machine Operator. Efficiently operates the injection molding process. Maintains parts quality and achieves manufacturing objectives. Works as a team member. RESPONSIBILITIES Sets up molds and establishes injection molding processes to achieve maximum part quality. Maintains efficiency, and keeps machines running at capacity to meet production requirements. Performs maintenance of all molds, injection molding machines, chillers, thermolators, hoppers, dryers, granulators, and other auxiliary equipment. Performs mold changeovers and preventative maintenance cleaning. Works with vendors to coordinate purchase of equipment repairs and parts. Operates machines and performs/assures quality inspections are performed. Responsible for integration, debugging, and testing of products and new product development. Prioritizes work to maintain maximum production efficiency and reduce costs. Follows work orders to eliminate inventory overruns and minimize scrap costs. Trains team members and other technicians on safety, machine operation, and other quality procedures. Establishes machine set-up operations. Supports and follows all preventative maintenance procedures. Performs as a team player; staggers breaks and lunch periods, working required OT when necessary and assists in other areas when necessary. Perform other duties as assigned. Abides by all company policies. QUALIFICATIONS: Required: High school diploma or equivalent required. 5+ years of experience with injection molding set-up and processing. Technical/mechanical knowledge of troubleshooting machines and production processes. Hands-on experience with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulics. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to lift 75 pounds. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Good math skills. Preferred: Tooling and mold rebuild and repair background.
